Goals and Objectives

To provide exceptional experiences and memories for members, guests, and prospects during their visits.

 

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all china, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots and pans in the resort.
  • Responsible for the proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens, food preparation areas, walk-ins and freezers including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparation slicers, steam kettles, tables, mats and floors.
  • Ensure that restaurants and kitchens have the required amounts of china, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots and pans to properly open their shift.
  • Keep dish washing machine properly cleaned and filled per club standards.
  • Operate burnishing machine to ensure proper finish on silverware. Remove tarnish and polish all silver and copper items.
  • Responsible for the storing and organization of china, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots and pans.
  • Responsible for relocating food and beverage supplies and equipment to and from storage areas as needed.
  • Empty trash and remove recyclables in kitchens and restaurants.
  • Follow recycling and conservation procedures.
  • Assist culinary staff as directed by the Chief Steward, Executive Chef or Sous Chefs.
  • Report to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Follow safe work practices, including the correct lifting techniques, use of chemicals and equipment.
  • Comply with all Company policy and procedures.
  • Complete other duties and tasks as assigned. Be fully informed of all club activities and services and promote accordingly to all prospects, members and guests. 


  • Maintains a professional image and superior customer service to members, guests, patrons and fellow staff members.
  • Be available for special events from time to time this may require your presence at the Club beyond normal working hours.

  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Proof of a negative TB test is required.
  • One year of previous stewarding or food service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, running, moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, heavy lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling sometimes in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
